The purpose of the SAM for Compliance trial is to review and evaluate the benefits of such a tool for Australian councils.

The Cyber Security frameworks being tested include the VPDSS, Essential 8 and ALGIM’s own framework. 

5 councils are currently working on this trial project: Glenelg Shire, Golden Plains Shire, Corangamite Shire, Southern Grampians Shire and City of Melbourne.

This review and evaluation will provide councils with a report based on the following:

1. Data entry (time taken / number of resources)
2. Workplan (compared to current/ROI/Value)
3. Reporting (feedback from users)
4. Targeting (focus areas rather than paying a consult to come in and ‘fix all’)
